(Stupid) Random Customer Texts/emails

As a plumbing services company, we receive countless text messages and emails every day from customers who may have a leaky faucet, a clogged toilet, or a broken pipeline. While most of these are professional and informative, some are just plain weird! Today, we are going to share some of the funniest and stupidest random customer texts and emails we have ever received.

Text 1: “Can you come over right now? My entire house is flooded with water, and I don’t know what to do!”

This one may not sound stupid at first, but wait until you see the picture the customer sent along with it. In the photo, it was clear that the customer had left their bathtub faucet running for hours, and the entire house was now flooded with water up to the ceiling. When we replied asking them to turn off the water supply, they responded by saying they “couldn’t find the switch.”

Text 2: “Is there any way you can fix my toilet without looking at it?”

We’re not sure what this customer thinks we do, but fixing a toilet without looking at it is definitely not one of them. We asked them to send us a picture of the problem, but they replied saying they “didn’t want to take a photo of their dirty toilet.” We suggested they clean it and send us a picture, but we never heard back.

Text 3: “Can you come and fix my kitchen sink? My cat is stuck in it.”

This one got us scratching our heads. We asked for clarification, and the customer replied saying that their cat had jumped on the kitchen counter, accidentally knocking a pot into the sink, and was now stuck inside it. We had to advise the customer to call animal control instead.

Email 1: “Can you tell me how to fix my leaky faucet? I don’t want to pay for a plumber.”

While we appreciate the customer’s desire to save money, asking us to give them a step-by-step guide on how to fix their own leaky faucet is like asking a chef to give away their secret recipe. We politely declined and offered them our professional services instead.

Email 2: “Can you come and fix my dishwasher? It’s making a weird noise.”

We replied, asking them to describe the noise, but the customer simply replied, “It’s a weird noise.” We tried to get more information, but they refused to elaborate. We eventually asked them to record the sound and send it to us, but again, we never heard back from them.

Text 4: “My bathroom smells like a dead animal. Can you come and help me find it?”

This one had us worried for a bit, but when we arrived at the customer’s house, we found that the “dead animal” smell was actually just a clogged toilet that hadn’t been flushed in days. We fixed the toilet and advised the customer to keep it clean.

Clearly, some of our customers find plumbing emergencies to be an opportunity to showcase their sense of humor. While we always appreciate good banter, we urge our customers to reach out to us with genuine plumbing issues and trust us with their homes’ water systems.
